Super Mario Wonder not having a time limit in the game has delighted fans, a feature that’s present in nearly every game in the mega-franchise. A Reddit post that discussed the lack of this feature is filled with fans reacting positively and heaping praise on Nintendo for finally removing the time limit.

Fans have stated that it’s not a feature that bothered them but the lack of it has been welcomed by many. Almost all of the original Super Mario Bros. titles on the NES have had life systems and time limits that acted as ways to showcase player skills. The new-gen gamers aren’t a fan of this and Nintendo listened to players and dropped it in the newer Mario games.

This helped gamers easily stock up on lives and encouraged players to explore more in games like Super Mario Odyssey. One fan commented how timers made sense when it’s linked to an objective in the game, but when players lost a life because the timer ran out, it was what frustrated most gamers. Another user commented how it’s an “antiquated game mechanic”, so it made sense that it’s no longer included.

There are a few methods that gamers can exploit in the game to get unlimited 1-Up lives. One of the exploits includes using Yoshi’s flutter jump at Fluff-Puff Peaks. This is by far the fastest and easiest method to rack up on 1-Up lives.

Players must ensure they are playing as Yoshi and have the Fluff-Puff Peaks level unlocked. This level is located in World 2, and if not unlocked yet, players can directly check out the next method. Those who have the level unlocked must start this level and make their way through until they make it to the second part until they come across a single brick with a short platform and a pipe on the other side.

Once there, players must collect at least three Koopas found in the area and launch all three of them into the air, so they land in between the lone brick and the pipe. The Koopas will emerge out of their shells in a moment after which players can use Yoshi’s flutter float ability to jump and land directly on them to collect all the 1-Up lives.

The second method is also quite similar and can be completed using any character. Players must use the Parachute Cap badge item and then choose the final course in the tutorial section of World 1, the level is titled Scram, Skedaddlers!

Players must chase the Skedaddle that’s carrying coins towards yellow barrels. Players must use wall jumps and Parachute Caps to land on each acorn that gets shot at them. Using the Parachute Cap will surge the jump combo momentum and help players gain 1-Ups fast.

The final method might take a bit longer but is also quite the easiest method to get the 1-Up lives. Players must navigate through the Scram, Skedaddlers! level until they come across a bunch of pipes. Here, players can place a Koopa in between two pipes and push the pipes together until the Koopa is stuck in between. Players can then slide down the pipes and as they land on the shell each time, they will rack up on 1-Up lives.

So, Time Limit may be removed, but you can still get unlimited lives in Super Mario Wonder.
