Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is the sequel to Naruto Shippuden. After almost two decades of carrying the ninja baton, Naruto passed it to his son, Boruto Uzumaki. From the beginning, the fandom had mixed reviews for the continuation of Naruto. They thought it was better to end the anime after he became the Hokage.
Boruto had a few great moments. The opening scene, where he and Kawaki duel it out on the Hokage Rock, piqued everyone’s interest and attracted more viewers. Just like Naruto, Boruto is also full of mysterious fan theories. Recently, one of those fan theories suggested the most bizarre thing. But after going through it, the fans are doubting that it might be true.
Boruto Fan Theory Suggest That Kawaki Is Naruto’s Son
After getting married to Hinata Hyuga, Naruto settled down in Konohagakure. They were a happy family. With time, the couple had two children, Boruto and Himawari. And that was about it. However, a super-wild theory claims that Kawaki is also the son of Naruto Uzumaki. Few people disowned the theory, while others were intrigued by it.

Kawaki being the biological son of Naruto would mean that Naruto might have had an affair with someone at some point. But nothing of that sort happens. The theory suggests that Orochimaru had something to do with it.
Since the beginning, Orochimaru has been portrayed as a vicious and cunning character who would do anything to gain immortality and learn every jutsu in the ninja world. He was a genius and the student of the third Hokage.
To gain immortality, he needed human vessels to transfer himself. There is no better vessel in the show other than Naruto Uzumaki. So, at some point, he might have acquired the DNA of Naruto and used it to clone him. The clone is none other than Kawaki. If this theory is true to its core, then it would make Kawaki the biological son of Naruto.

From Naruto to Boruto
Boruto has had several fan theories, but few are as bizarre yet intriguing as the above-mentioned one. People have seen how affectionate Naruto is towards Kawaki. Many might ask, if Orochimaru wanted Kawaki as a vessel, why would he not go with his plan?
It might be that Kawaki was stolen from him by Isshiki Otsutsuki. Another reason is that Orochimaru left his evil days behind. In Boruto, he is portrayed as someone who is there to help the Leaf Village.
It is one of the few theories that has a high chance of being true. It does make sense that Orochimaru would do something like this. But for the moment, it all remains just a theory until any confirmation or hint is given to the fans.
