As soon as it was announced that DC Studios would be doing a Teen Titans film, fans took to the internet to talk about who they wanted to see play their beloved teen superheroes in live-action. Speculations have been running wild as to who would join James Gunn and Peter Safran’s newly minted DCU, and there is one casting fans think is too perfect to gloss over.
Jenna Ortega played the role of Wednesday Addams perfectly, which has led a lot of fans to speculate that she would be the perfect cast for Raven, the resident sorcerer of the Teen Titans. Fans have flooded social media with comments as to what the actress would be the perfect choice for Raven, making their case aggressively.
Fans wish to see Jenna Ortega as Raven in the new DCU
The DCU is shaping up pretty well, as characters and projects are being announced by the co-chairs of the studio. Teen Titans came as a surprise, given that other aspects of the universe are still being fleshed out.
All but one (perhaps two) have revealed who would be cast in them, and now there are more projects for fans to speculate about. With Teen Titans, a strong section of the fandom is rooting for Jenna Ortega to get the role, with fans taking to X to discuss how she would be perfect for the role, while also casting the other Titans.

Ortega’s fan-casting as Raven has caused a lot of fans to rally online, pushing for her to be cast as the sorcerer. With the Teen Titans coming to the DCU, other characters are also being cast by fans. Given that the script is to be written by Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow writer Ana Nogueira, one can speculate if Supergirl will be on the team, or whether that character will see an arc that will involve the Titans.
The casting comes as a package deal for many fans
There are tons of characters that fans want to see in the Teen Titans film, along with a slew of actors portraying them. Apart from seeing Ortega as Raven, fans want to see Iñaki Godoy of One Piece fame as Beast Boy, along with the rising star Timothée Chalamet as Dick Grayson, the first protégé of Batman and probably Nightwing by the time we see him in the DCU.
While the cast for the rest of the team has varied, these castings have remained constant among fan pitches. Chalamet’s current presence in the cultural zeitgeist could be the people want to see him in the DCU, along with Godoy’s portrayal of Luffy being somewhat similar to Beast Boy as he is depicted in most of his iterations. Ortega’s fan casting comes from her portrayal as Wednesday Addams, whose personality and demeanor are similar to that of Raven, as she is depicted in most of her iterations.
