A new trailer for Tekken 8 has dropped, and it showcases the return of a very iconic character, Yoshimitsu. Yoshimitsu is one of the few characters who have appeared in every game in the Tekken series. The katana-wielding Ninja looks as lethal as ever as he prepares to participate in the King of Iron Fist tournament in the trailer.

On a quest to avenge his followers, the Manji clan member is seen wielding his classic cursed blade, which can be seen impacting him in the trailer. Known as one of the most iconic characters in the franchise, it is no surprise that he is returning, as the game’s roster would have been incredibly lackluster without him. The trailers for the latest Tekken have now been dropping weekly to ensure that series veterans are all hyped up, amped, and ready for release.

Pro players and casuals who have been playing the game since its inception have reacted to the trailer and commended the character design the game has gone with this time. Some comments on the YouTube trailer praise the design and wholeheartedly welcome the return of the mechanized space ninja. Here are some of them:

I don’t know how they did it, but this is by far the coolest Yoshimitsu has ever been

Yoshimitsu looks amazing now! His design is perfect, and moveset is a magnificent sight to behold.

Great design for this one this time! Hope Yoshimitsu fans are happy! And just how beautiful this game looks. Awesome!

This is the best Yoshimitsu they have ever done. This is amazing!

There are many other comments that one can check for oneself here. The various stances of the ninjitsu-practicing warrior, such as the flying stance, were also shown. The trailer also shows what the moveset for the fighter will look like and how his sword-slashes will combine with the latest Tekken’s heat system to produce lethal combinations.

The Rage Art for the character also looks incredibly swift, stylish, and sinister and is an incredible improvement from the last title. The game is one of the most anticipated titles currently. Alongside its competitors like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, the series has always been on the front page regarding the Fighting genre’s eSports scene.

The fighter known for his quick slashes with his katana was first introduced in the first game, which dates back to the late 20th century. Interestingly, he has had three variations in the Tekken and the Soulcalibur franchise. Interestingly, many moves from Soulcalibur will be featured in the latest game if the character reveal trailer is any indicator.

It was also revealed during the franchise’s progression that the ninja warrior appears to be immortal, which is achieved as the Manji clan sacrifices the current warrior and a new, younger member of the clan replaces him.
