Although the crew expected the movie starring Cruise as U.S. Army Sergeant Nick Morton, who accidentally unearths the tomb of entrapped an Egyptian princess, to earn praise, it unfortunately didn’t meet fans’ expectations.

Inviting Tom Cruise and Annabelle Wallis on the talk show, Norton uncovers a story from when they shot the movie in central London and Cruise stole Wallis’ friends with his irresistible charm.
Annabelle Wallis Disclosed How Tom Cruise Shows Off His Charm
The Top Gun actor Tom Cruise has been the Hollywood heartthrob for decades, ever since his inception in the entertainment industry. Known for his irresistible charm and good looks, Cruise even had a few high-profile relationships throughout his career. But while the actor often stays modest about it, and prefers to be known for his skills and actions rather than his looks, that doesn’t keep him from showing off his chick magnet skills.
According to Annabelle Wallis, who worked with Tom Cruise on the 2017 reboot The Mummy, the actor is extremely smooth at showing off his charm around women. Appearing on The Graham Norton Show to promote their movie, Wallis was asked if she ever brought her friends on set while working. That’s when the actress disclosed how Cruise stole her friends by just waving at them.
“Wasn’t there a day when you had your friends on set?” Norton raised the question.
“Tom, not that story?” Wallis laughed.
“There’s the truth, and then there’s Annabelle and then there’s the truth. There’s Annabelle’s truth and then there’s the truth.” Cruise claimed.
“My stories are far better. So we were in the middle of central London, we were shooting these running scenes and all my girlfriends came, and I was like ‘Oh Tom look my friends’ so I waved. And they were like ‘Hi Annabelle’. And then he goes, ‘Watch this’. He looks there and he goes [waves], and they all go [screams].”
Annabelle Wallis exposed Tom Cruise in front of the audience for using his charm and impressing her friends while filming. But surprisingly, Cruise denied the claims from the very beginning.
Tom Cruise Denied Stealing Annabelle Wallis’ Friends With His Charm
While Annabelle Wallis disclosed how Tom Cruise simply waved and earned her friends, the actress mentioned that Cruise couldn’t help but show off. Implying that while the actor appears modest about his good looks and charm in public, he’s actually quite aware of his glam and knows when to use it. Thus, Wallis claimed that Cruise was well aware of what he was doing, and showed off anyway.
After impressing Annabelle Wallis’ friends with just one wave, the actress discussed how Tom Cruise looked at her and went, “Annabelle, they’re my friends now”. But while Wallis’ story made the audiences and even Graham Norton burst out laughing, Cruise kept denying the claims. He said, “that is so not true, that is so not true” while laughing at the story.
Considering Tom Cruise’s charm, everyone on the show agreed with Annabelle Wallis’ story. Even Graham Norton agreed with the actress’ version of the story and stated “that happened”. Speaking with Cruise, Norton said, “I believe that. Even if you didn’t say it, it’s true. Just take it all, they’re your friends now.” The story concluded with laughter and while we didn’t learn about Cruise’s version, we all know there was every bit of truth in Wallis’ story.
