Marvel is known for making some of the most unique universes and variants of iconic characters including the Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and many more. Each universe has its own version of the superheroes. Sometimes they are evil, sometimes they are more heroic than fans best know them as. Sometimes they get the peaceful and happy ending they truly deserve. However, sometimes, they don’t wear pants.
There is an entire comic book issue dedicated to the Hulk’s refusal to wear any pants. Something that, at first glance, would seem to be an obvious necessity in the waking world. For the superhero though, that was far from a priority. So much so that he was ready to start a fight with whoever chose to go against him.
That was until Power Princess decided to step up and take matters into her own hands.
The Hulk is Not Fond of Pants
In Marvel’s Earth- 1610, the Ultimate Hulk has a unique liking of two things, not wearing any pants and eating pancakes. In Ultimate Hulk Annual # 1, the character is seen sitting in a diner demanding pancakes. Not as Bruce Banner but as Hulk, he is desperately asking to be served pancakes. However, the waiters refuse to serve him for a very simple reason, the Ultimate Hulk is wearing no pants.
It is not as if Hulk is demanding pancakes without any compensation. He had the money, just not the pants to go with it. Due to the defiance and inability to follow the diner’s basic rules, a brawl started brewing between the superhero and the diner staff. It is only when Zarda, the Power Princess decides to interfere that things begin to change.
The Power Princess, who might as well be regarded as Marvel’s Wonder Woman took things into her own hands by going head-to-head against the Hulk. A match that did not end well for the latter.
Hulk Smash
The entire battle takes place purely as an attempt to get Hulk to wear a pair of pants. A simple action that would have easily gotten him the pancakes he wanted to so badly. However, had he done that in the first place, the Ultimate Hulk would have missed out on perhaps a rare opportunity. Both of them started fighting with neither backing out. That was until Zarda took advantage of the lack of pants.
She went straight for the crown jewels, kicking him where he was the most vulnerable. One move managed to strike him down in an instant. After that, she took him shopping for some pants and the duo then went out to eat pancakes, giving the Hulk exactly what he wanted and more.
After that, the two of them booked a hotel room and spent the night together, ending the comic book issue with the most interesting plot and twists.
