This was when she was recently asked to rank her top 5 most favorite anime, answering which got the American rapper tongue-tied. And while she did answer the question, it might not seem all too appealing to most Jujutsu Kaisen fans for a very valid reason.

Megan Thee Stallion has been making headlines in the anime world ever since she stated years ago how much she loves anime. Perhaps that was why recently, at the 2023 GQ Men of the Year event, she was asked to rank these five animes as per her favorites: My Hero Academia, Hunter x Hunter, Black Clover, Attack on Titan, and Jujutsu Kaisen.

Considering how all of them are top-rated animes, the rapper couldn’t do injustice to them and rank them in order. That’s why, initially, she said:

“Ooh. You know, all [are] my favorite ones. All, all of them – number one.”

But she had to answer the question, and so she began:

“Damn. Okay, ‘My Hero [Academia]’ – number one. ‘Jujutsu [Kaisen]’ – probably number two. ‘Attack on Titan’–no, ‘Hunter x Hunter’–no, let’s switch.”

Starting all over again, she said:

“Okay, ‘My Hero [Academia]’ – number one. ‘Hunter x Hunter’ is two. ‘Attack on Titan’ – number three. ‘Black Clover’ – four. And what was that last one? [Interviewer: Jujutsu Kaisen] Damn, they’re all good! That was a bad question.”

While Megan Thee Stallion was herself confused and tongue-tied while answering a tough question like that, Jujutsu Kaisen anime fans are devastated at her answer, and for a very valid reason as well.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Jujutsu Kaisen Ranking Not Okay With JJK Fans

Although the last bit of Megan Thee Stallion’s answer to the question where she called the question out to be a bad one is quite understandable because of the fact that all these animes are some of the best animes of all time, Jujutsu Kaisen fans are not pleased.

But JJK fans’ unhappiness with her question is justified as well. This is because Yuji Itadori, one of the major characters of the anime, said at the beginning of the series while introducing himself in Jujutsu High:

“I’m Yuji Itadori. I like girls like Megan Thee Stallion. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

Thus, because of this response, fans have been going crazy about how Itadori would feel if he heard about Stallion’s response to his anime. While some believe that the character would be happy just knowing that the rapper knows he exists, others claim he would be devastated at her ranking of his anime.

Here’s what they said about the original X post:

While this situation is truly worse and more devastating for Yuji Itadori than what he saw after Sukuna destroyed a massive section of Shibuya, it’s not like Jujutsu Kaisen fans would actually sue Megan Thee Stallion for the way she ranked the anime …right?!
