In an interview with Uproxx, Mark Wahlberg faced a question about Ted 2 concluding at New York Comic Con, where a wealth of pop-culture references were expected. The interviewer inquired whether Wahlberg was able to discern all of these references.
Mark Wahlberg expressed that he hasn’t been particularly enthusiastic about Star Wars, making his visit to Comic Con a valuable opportunity for learning. He admitted that he hasn’t developed a strong affinity for the franchise, confessing that many of the characters featured at Comic Con were unfamiliar to him. While he might not have been drawn to most of the characters, he did acknowledge his understanding of superhero-related content.
Mark Wahlberg shared that when it comes to selecting movies, his family has a simple rule called “pick it or kick it.” If his kids aren’t interested in a movie after watching its trailer, they opt to skip it and choose something else instead.
The interviewer continued by inquiring Wahlberg, What was the response when they watched the Star Wars trailer, which could have been a definite “pick it.” However, Mark Wahlberg responded by saying, “No! That was a “kick it.”
Mark Wahlberg Regrets Skipping College
During a conversation on The Today Show, as reported by Fox News, Mark Wahlberg candidly discussed the experiences of not attending college. Wahlberg shared that he and his wife recently journeyed to South Carolina to join their daughter Ella Rae during parents’ weekend.
Wahlberg said (via Fox News):
“We just went to parents’ weekend, you know with the sorority girls and the frat house. It was like, Oh my God. I definitely felt like I never really had too many regrets about not going to college until I saw (this).”
At the age of 20, Ella Rae stands as the eldest among the four children of Wahlberg and Durham, who have shared their marital journey for 14 years. The couple’s family also includes their other children, Michael, Brendan Joseph, and Grace Margaret.
