Ezra Miller called his first film Afterschool psychotic

Trainwreck fame grabbed the spotlight with the first film, Afterschool. The actor thoroughly enjoyed shooting the movie because it was a very psychotic movie.

Actor Ezra Miller quickly attracted a lot of attention thanks to featuring in the dark teen film Afterschool. Apart from being Miller’s first film, the actor also enjoyed shooting the movie because of how psychotic it was.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Justice League actor shared about his early days when they used to take the bus to Manhattan for auditions. Their persistence paid off when cast in the retelling of the Broadway play The Runaways. Miller shared,

“This guy came backstage and gave me his card and was like, ‘You wanna work in film.’”

The guy connected Miller to director Antonio Campos, who gave the talented actor the lead role in the movie Afterschool. Miller enjoyed the shoot of the film because of its psychotic plot. They said,

“That was a great film experience because of how f***** up it was and like a psychotic filmmaking process with young kids. And then I was just hooked on film.”

Ezra Miller wanted to become an actor after having a nightmare about Beethoven

We Need to Talk About Kevin actor Miller once revealed that they drop out of school because of Beethoven. The actor spoke to Shortlist about giving life-changing advice to the classical artist that was life-changing.

Miller said,

“It was serious to me at the time, in my highly energized, romanticized brain,” Miller said.

Miller dreamed that Beethoven felt incomplete and miserable when he reflected on his life’s work. Hence, Miller offered the artist some words of wisdom. He shared,

“I told him he’s doing great, I asked how many symphonies [he’d done], and I told him to keep making more. Then there were these sorts of zombie creatures, made of a clay-like substance, so we had to run away and survive the zombie apocalypse together. There was more.”

Miller shared that the dream gave him the drive to make art as he tried to decode the dream. Speaking to New York, Miller said,

“I think it’s about how it’s the responsibility of every artist to make sacrifices and seemingly irrational decisions to carve out their little pebble of work to put on the big, like, art kingdom that everyone’s been building for so long.”

Ezra Miller will play the lead in The Flash, which will release on 16 June 2023.
