Mark Wahlberg claimed that he will never deny his faith in God

Despite being a Catholic, Mark Wahlberg explained that he knows how to balance himself around his Hollywood collaborators, who don’t share a similar perspective about God, as Wahlberg does. But this hasn’t stopped the Ted star from practicing his love for his religion, as he claims that he would never deny his faith because “that’s an even bigger sin” and remains vocal about his beliefs. Even though it’s not popular in the industry, this hasn’t impacted the actor’s faith, as he stated,

“It’s afforded me all the things that I’ve been able to accomplish in my life — my faith, my discipline. It’s not popular in my industry, but, you know, I cannot deny my faith. It’s important for me to share that with people.”

But despite his love for God, Wahlberg also doesn’t believe in jamming his viewpoints down others’ throats and expressed that his faith in God hasn’t affected his artistic choices in the industry.

Mark Wahlberg’s faith in God hasn’t stopped him from doing risky projects

Even though writing a love letter to his faith by working in Father Stu was a great experience for the actor, his faith hasn’t stopped him from pursuing several risky projects. Mark Wahlberg expressed that even though some of his career choices have been a bit questionable, however, his love for God hasn’t stopped the actor from pursuing several risky projects in his career. He said,

“I’ve always said that I hope God is a movie fan. I mean, I’ve made some movies, whether it be ‘Boogie Nights’ or even ‘Ted’ where, you know, they could be a bit questionable. But I also don’t want to compromise my artistic integrity. But as a parent and as a husband, those things definitely weigh into my decision-making. But I do like taking chances and risks.”
