Hugh Jackman Talks About His Past Job And Ryan Reynolds’ Response Was Hilariously Wicked

Guesting on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show via BBC Radio 2, actor Hugh Jackman admits he worked as a gas station attendant in the past and during those times, he had several encounters with customers asking for his help to change the oil in their cars.

I worked in a gas station from midnight to dawn for four years and I can’t tell you how many times people would come in and say – they were so embarrassed – “I need to change the oil in my car and this is so embarrassing. I’ve never done it before. Can you help me?”

Jackman would give the best excuse to cover up the fact that he doesn’t know how to change oil. “And I’m like, ‘I’m really sorry, but for security purposes, I’m not allowed to leave the console.’ Because I had absolutely no idea,” the Australian star explained.

Of course, his buddy and Deadpool & Wolverine costar Ryan Reynolds would definitely do the opposite just for the heck of it. “I would’ve just gone for it,” the Canadian actor chimed in eagerly.

I would have poured Canadian maple syrup inside there and been like: listen, you didn’t ask for certification or anything like that. You came in here and now you’re screwed. Should’ve known better.

Jackman couldn’t contain his laughter over Reynolds’ statement. Surely, the latter isn’t too serious about doing that in real life, but it’s absolutely something Deadpool would do and fans know it.

Right in this moment, I have no idea if I’ll ever wear that Deadpool suit again — I hope I do — but I don’t know. Right now’s the time to just kind of hang it up for a bit and see what happens next.

Deadpool & Wolverine successfully broke through $1 billion in global ticket sales this weekend, a huge feat for an R-rated movie. The figure will surely increase in the next few weeks.
