Spider-Man 3 was one of those lesser-liked films out of all the live-action projects made on the friendly neighborhood web-slinger to date. Despite this, one thing that makes the film worth watching is all the candid scenes of Bully Maguire-Parker or the Cool Maguire-Parker. Though fans loved Tobey Maguire’s previous performances as well, none came as close to epic as this one.
That being said, it has been close to two decades since the release of the movie, and yet, some of the scenes from it are still as iconic as ever. While the Cool Peter Parker dance in the street in that classic black suit was one moment we’ll, perhaps, never forget, there is another scene that could still make you chuckle: “That’s not the position I hired you for!”
A Bully Maguire Scene From Spider-Man 3 To Make Your Day
While Tobey Maguire as the nerdy Peter Parker throughout the trilogy was indeed an adorable sight that fans could never get over, his version of the confident Bully Parker who unhesitantly danced in the middle of the street and hit up girls was an even better treat to the eye.
Although, yes, he indeed had to deal with the symbiotic alien Venom that bolstered his avatar and brutally affected his psyche, Maguire as Parker also gave fans some of the best moments from the entire saga to cherish forever. Like the time he got pictures of the black-suit Spider-Man.
To jog up your memory a bit, in that scene, Bully Maguire captures pictures of himself in his symbiote-affected black suit to fulfill J.K. Simmons‘ J. Jonah Jameson’s heartfelt wishes to bring the web-slinger down. But he doesn’t hand them over before flirting a bit around the staff.
The one he flirted with was none other than Elizabeth Banks‘ Betty Brant, who, after complimenting him on the “so good” shots he clicked, earns the flirty pick-up line from Parker as he says,
“I’d love to shoot you sometime.”

But as this duo nearly make out on the spot, what truly made the situation all the more hilarious was Jameson bursting into the room out of nowhere, shouting:
“Parker. Miss Brant. That’s not the position I hired you for!”
Needless to say, this scene still manages to crack fans up all the time, sometimes even more than Maguire’s iconic dance as Parker in his classic black suit! That being said, fans are most certainly enjoying being reminded of this scene from Spider-Man 3.
