The Avengers Gave Away Plotlines of Phase 2 Films

Marvel Studios has successfully made fans connect with their comic book universe through the introductory films released during Phase 1. Spanning from 2008 to 2012, as per Digital Spy, the MCU began their Phase 1 with Iron Man and ended the first phase with The Avengers. But while the 2012 Avengers movie marked the end of Phase 1, it strategically gave away the entire plot of Phase 2.

So they’re having the big argument on the helicarrier, and they’re all getting into one another right. And then Steve Rogers aka Captain America asks Tony what he’s without his armor, which is the plot of Iron Man 3.”

Dropping the big bomb on Ben Groves and the listeners, Rob Macfarlane proceeded to point out further conversations between the characters in The Avengers, that gave away Phase 2 plotlines. Without a pause, Macfarlane further discussed how they gave away the plot of Thor: The Dark World and even Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Nick Fury then tells Thor about a foreign species going to his planet to blow stuff up, which is Dark World…Bruce asks Natasha if Captain America is on threat watch, to which she replies we’re all on threat watch, cause in the Winter Soldier everyone’s being watched.”
