However, Matt Damon realized the actor’s potential before he even made it big in Hollywood. The Good Will Hunting actor had worked with Ledger only in The Brothers Grimm, and during one of his interviews available on YouTube, Damon spoke highly of his co-star and even called him the “best actor” that he had worked with.

“It was great [working with him]. I’m not being hyperbolic when I say this, but he is the best actor that I have ever worked with. [His death] isn’t something that I will ever get over. He was a really special guy whose light was just too bright for this place.”

“I remember Ben and I having a realization early on. Like, we were watching Brad [Pitt] in a movie, and one of us turned to the other and said, ‘I haven’t heard a thing that guy said in five minutes. I’m just looking at him.’”

They were watching his movie where they could neither hear nor understand him, as he did a bad job in the film. However, Pitt looked so alluring that it made the audience lose focus on what the actor was saying and how charming he could be while playing a role.
