Season 3 of the hit show, The Boys, is days away from release. The Amazon Prime show was highly anticipated by fans. Jeffrey Dean Morgan was offered a role in The Boys. This came after the John Winchester actor Tweeted, that he would “go play with that gang anytime”.
However, this did not materialize. The exciting cameo would have been an awesome treat for fans. Sadly, it did not happen for a mundane reason. What was this reason? we discuss this and more in this article.

Jeffery Dean Morgan’s Exciting Cameo Didn’t Happen For This Reason
The Showrunner of The Boys, Eric Kripke, gave an interview to EW. There he revealed the reason why Jeffery Dean Morgan’s exciting cameo didn’t happen. He told EW, “The question has been asked” “Sad for me, happy for him: He’s currently the lead, along with Lauren Cohan, on the Walking Dead spin-off. So, schedule-wise, I don’t know. We might still remain star-crossed, unfortunately, because I did ask. We had a role come up, and my first question was, ‘Well, is Jeffrey available?'”

On the other hand, Jensen Ackles who is cast as Soldier Boy said: “I don’t know exactly what was in the works for that, but I know that there were some preliminary conversations of how and what and when and why that just didn’t work out with Jeff’s schedule. He’s a busy man, and everybody wants him to come on their show.” Ackles continued: “I’d love to invite him into this fold because it’s nutty.”
Alas, conflicting schedules are the culprit. We would have loved to see Morgan in season 3. What do you think of this reason? Let us know your opinion in the comments section below.
