Some of the biggest names that the UFC has been able to market in the world have come from their inert talent in their martial art or the way that they present themselves in press conferences and official weigh-ins. But Sean Strickland is that athlete who does their work for them by being one of the most polarizing stars to set foot in the Octagon.
Not only do his words tend to stir up controversy, but his actions also entail incidents that are quite unheard of in the sport, the most recent being his all-out brawl with his future challenger.

At the recent main Pay-Per-View event of UFC 296, the current Middleweight champion was seated at ringside watching the fights that were scheduled for the evening. Along with him, his challenger Dricus Du Plessis was also present, sitting just behind Strickland. Since both of these stars are scheduled to fight the headlining bout at the next UFC 297 for the championship, they already have that bad blood between them.
When the camera panned towards them, the champ was seen waving and acknowledging it while also firing a finger gun at the challenger. After that initial footage, we could see Du Plessis screaming something to Strickland through the noise. Hearing it, he slowly turns around, asks the other audience members politely to move away a little, and lunges at Du Plessis, initiating the brawl, with both stars later duking it out ringside for almost half a minute before they were stopped.
This isn’t the only time the champ has shown just how wild he is. In the past, it was also reported that he confronted a potential robber who was trying to steal his truck parked in front of his home without any form of self-defense tool.

People Are Comparing Sean Strickland With GTA V‘s Trevor
In light of this recent incident, paired with the fact that he was wearing a plain white T-shirt, people have started to compare Strickland to GTA V’s Trevor Philips, who is also iconic for wearing a white tee and doing all kinds of unhinged and unlawful things.
