The cast had to work through difficult schedules that involved quarantine regulations and other restrictions imposed due to Covid. Chalamet, who had to spend 14 days in isolation before appearing for his part in the film, revealed that all his cooped up energy came bursting out on the first day of filming. His unbounded vivacity proved to be quite extreme for Jennifer Lawrence, who was completely thrown off by his behavior. In an interview with GQ, Chalamet elaborated on what transpired and said,

“By the time I got to set I was buzzing. That was the day Jennifer said was the most annoying day of her life, working with me and Leo. I exploded out of my room.”

The Dune star though, ensured that it was smooth sailing with Lawrence during his short appearance in the film, and lauded both his co-stars for their professionalism on set.

Jennifer Lawrence Was Gracious About Leonardo DiCaprio’s Higher Paycheck

In 2021’s Don’t Look Up, Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio had equally significant roles as the two lead actors of the film. But when it came to their salaries, DiCaprio took home a higher paycheck, which was 20 percent more than Lawrence. Despite being paid less, the X-Men star, who is also a strong advocate for women’s equality, defended her co-star’s salary and explained why she was satisfied with her deal. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Lawrence said,

“Leo brings in more box office than I do. I’m extremely fortunate and happy with my deal. I was number one on the call sheet, so … I thought [the credits] should reflect that. Leo was very gracious about it.”
