Ezra Miller’s highly anticipated movie of the year, The Flash, was released last month. The film is directed by Andy Muschietti and written by Christina Hodson. It is the 13th installment of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). It is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures. There was a lot of hype for this film. However, the results are nowhere near the expectations.
The film has grossed $247 million worldwide, making it a disappointment. It is getting severely criticized by fans and film critics.
Ezra Miller’s Disastrous DCEU Film The Flash
Ezra Miller’s character The Flash, first appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. After its appreciation in Justice League, Miller was given their solo franchise with The Flash. It was released on 16th June. In the film, the protagonist meddles with history by going back in time to save his mother, however, in an attempt to do so, he accidentally opens the portal of the multiverse. It leads the hero to unleash the supervillain Zod. Now he has to save the universe with the assistance of former Batmen, played by Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, and his other self.
There are several CGI defects in the film, and the characters lack texture. It has numerous flaws in script, direction, acting, and editing.

Fan Reaction to Poor Performance of DCEU’s The Flash
The fans of the DC comics and superhero Flash are highly disappointed with the film released a few weeks ago. They even compared it to other movies, which were considered flops before the release of The Flash. The low-quality visuals and the bad CGI effects stole the charm of the film; making it an average movie, instead of a giant banner one.
As per reports, the budget of the film was above $200M, plus $150M in marketing. However, it would be difficult to say if the film will be able to recover the cost. The performance of the film is even poorer than Dwayne Johnson’s superhero film Black Adam, which was considered a giant box office failure. The film grossed $393 million worldwide, but Ezra Miller’s The Flash is struggling to make it past $300 million.

The failure of Ezra Miller’s The Flash has raised questions about the new co-CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn. Production of such films may lead fans to lose faith in Gunn and his projects. The director is presently busy with the production of his first project in DC Studio’s new phase, Superman: Legacy. The film features the young age of Superman aka Clark Kent, and connects his Earth life to his Kryptonian life. The lead actors are David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan.
