Actor Brad Pitt has appeared in many interviews throughout his career, however, the most insulting and awkward one was with Zach Galifianakis. In the show called, Between Two Ferns, Galifianakis invites celebrities to make fun of them.
In 2014, Pitt appeared on the show and was ruthlessly roasted by Galifianakis as he joked about Pitt’s failed relationship with actress Jennifer Aniston. Pitt eventually spat on Galifianakis’ face and left the show. Before Pitt, Aniston also appeared on the show, but a certain part was removed from the episode because of this reason.
Zach Galifianakis fired shots at Brad Pitt
Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis is comedian Zach Galifianakis’ talk show where he invites celebrities just to roast them. In 2014, actor Brad Pitt became a victim of Galifianakis’ insulting jokes. The comedian maintained a very awkward and antagonistic demeanor with the actor.
Throughout the episode, Pitt was insulted by the comedian multiple times. At one point, Galifianakis asked Pitt if it is hard for him to maintain a suntan because “you live in your wife’s shadow,” referring to his then-wife, actress Angelina Jolie.
Zach Galifianakis asked Brad Pitt an awkward question
Further in the interview, Galifianakis took a dig at Pitt’s relationship with actress Jennifer Aniston. The two stars were married between 2000 and 2005. Galifianakis asked him,
“Tell me what it was like the first time that you laid eyes on Angelina. Was it like one of those classical love stories like when Ross first saw Rachel? You know, that show ‘Friends,’ have you seen that?”
In the sitcom FRIENDS, Rachel Green was a character played by Jennifer Aniston, Pitt’s ex-wife. The comedian then played the FRIENDS theme song to make the moment worse.
Brad Pitt spat on Zach Galifianakis’ face
With every question, the situation got worse. Pitt was eventually asked a very insulting question by Galifianakis,
“Do you think people focus too much on your looks and don’t even realize that you’re just a s***ty actor?”
Pitt then spat his gum on Galifianakis’ face for asking that question. In 2011, actress Jennifer Aniston appeared on the show, however, Galifianakis once revealed that a certain part of that episode had to be cut out. Before filming, Galifianakis told the actress that they called a Brad Pitt lookalike for the episode, the actress looked so stunned and sad that the comedian called off the entire thing.
