Despite receiving little criticism from the fans, the second season also enjoyed success among the critics. The Flight Attendant also received numerous Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Lead Actress and Best Comedy Series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kaley Cuoco said that her experience in the show was “extraordinary” and was a “dream come true” moment.

The Max show’s creator, Steve Yockey, also added that The Flight Attendant was a passion project for him. He was impressed by the commendable responses to the show from the critics and audiences and stated that the show would always be special to him.
Why did Sharon Stone slap Kaley Cuoco while filming for The Flight Attendant?
Kaley Cuoco gave a memorable performance in The Flight Attendant. While the critics and audiences appreciated her, she was also graced by several prestigious nominations like Emmys, Golden Globe, and Critics Choice. Surprisingly, the show also led her to get slapped by Sharon Stone on set.
In the second season of the show, Sharon Stone featured as Cuoco’s on-screen mother, Lisa Bowden. While speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Penny actress revealed that during a scene, Sharon Stone went beyond the script and slapped her hard to improvise the scene.
“She was supposed to say, ‘I like you, but I don’t love you very much. That’s what she is supposed to say. She says this line to me, she grabs my face and she whacks me! Sharon comes back and said, ‘Oh my God, I love you. It just felt right for the scene’. I was like ‘That was incredible. Whoa.’ So I’m like, I just got bi*ch slapped by Sharon Stone.”
The scene was later added to the show’s final cut, and the Basic Instinct star slapped her several times for other takes. The audiences were impressed when Kaley Cuoco revealed that Sharon Stone came later to check if she was alright. However, both the stars share an adorable bond.
