According to a new report from The Sun, Aaron-Taylor Johnson is expected to take on the role of the MI6 spy James Bond after Daniel Craig. The actor is known for starring in movies like Kick-Ass, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Bullet Train among others.

The production company behind the James Bond movies, Eon Productions, is reportedly set to start filming this year and is waiting for his response. “Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it,” a source said before adding, “The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back.”

They also claimed that the British actor is likely to accept the offer, which will be followed by an official announcement. “As far as Eon is concerned, Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days and they can start preparing for the big announcement,” the source stated.

The Sun also states that the next James Bond movie faced delays due to the 2023 Hollywood strikes. However, insiders have confirmed that the script is being written and the production for the next installment is expected to take place at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.

Taylor-Johnson is also set to star alongside Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming film The Fall Guy and is set to lead the upcoming superhero film Kraven the Hunter.
