The time was the 1980s, and Harrison Ford was still not very well known despite appearing in many of his famous films. He had already appeared in films like the first and original Star Wars, the first Indiana Jones, and had a couple of other roles in some movies. While he was famous, he wasn’t as famous as he is today. His name was relatively unknown since he hadn’t yet gone on to star in prominent film roles like Air Force One, etc.

While the star was filming Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, he was out and about with a couple of his stuntmen. One of the stuntmen, Dickey Beer retold the story in an interview with NY Post,

“As we were driving, he said to us stunt guys, ‘You’re so damn lucky. You get all the girls.’ We said, ‘What are you talking about? You’re Harrison Ford!’ He said, ‘No one knows who I am.’”

To prove himself right, the Blade Runner star stepped off the car and approached two women walking by.

“He said, ‘Hello, girls. It’s me, Han Solo,’ The girls took off running down the street.”

While the women may now be shocked to know that they were once approached by one of the most famous stars of all time, Ford went on to achieve massive success just a couple of years later.

Not only is he one of the most sought-after stars of yesteryears, but the actor has also left an indelible mark on the minds of the audience. Despite such fame and quite a huge number of ‘female’ fan following, the star admitted he is quite intimidated by women in general. In an interview he stated,

“They all intimidate me. They’re scary. They’re mysterious.”

Even though he might feel intimidated, the star has continued to appreciate and acknowledge his female crew members and co-stars. The once Hollywood heartthrob might be 81 years now but his popularity and legacy continue to rise.
