It has been quite a while since The Daily Show has seen a proper lead host truly light up the night for its viewers ever since comedian Trevor Noah stepped down as the host almost a year back. But now, we have confirmation that Jon Stewart, the man who made the talk show what it is today, will return as the main face of the show once more this year.
Stewart was the host of the variety talk show till 2015 when Noah took over it and turned an already iconic show into a critically acclaimed one as well with his writing and performance, which came to an end in 2023. And now, as the 2024 US Presidential Elections are set to put a fire in political comedies, for which the OG has been summoned again to take charge.
Jon Stewart Is Set To Host The Daily Show Again For 2024 After Trevor Noah’s Exit
Considered to be a cultural icon when it comes to the influence The Daily Show had on The US’ history of culture and politics, it can widely be regarded as one of the most beloved talk shows in history. Before South African comedian Trevor Noah took over the proceedings of the show in 2015, Jon Stewart was a synonymous name associated with it.
And now, history seems to repeat itself, and this time, in reverse as Trevor Noah steps down as the main host of the show following a tight and overburdening schedule, Stewart is once again part of the picture. It was recently confirmed that the comedian and past host of the variety talk show will return to the show’s production starting February 12 this year.
