In the Elden Ring game, Blaidd is introduced as a close friend and devoted servant of Ranni. His connection with Ranni goes back to his childhood day and he is also associated with Ranni’s questline. Blaidd and Ranni had a tight relationship as the Half-Wolf was solely created by the Two Fingers to serve and guard the latter.

Nevertheless, Blaidd was created to serve another purpose. His main purpose was to catch Ranni and kill her if she were to give up the Two Fingers. As the time finally comes when Ranni abandons the Two Fingers, Blaidd lands himself in a soup. He tries to fight Ranni for abandoning the Two Fingers but fails to do so since he had a close bond with her for so long.

Blaidd eventually in this process goes insane and the Tarnished were compelled to put him down. Thus, he met a tragic ending for not betraying his friend.

Havel The Rock’s story from Dark Souls

Blaidd’s story is one of the most tragic when it comes to FromSoftware games. However, his story is nothing when it is compared to that of Havel The Rock from Dark Souls. Havel The Rock was very powerful. He was a compatriot to Lord Gwyn and had greater strength than any of his fellow knights. He is also very well known for his fight against the ancient dragons.

Havel The Rock

Havel had a very loyal following of men and this made him a leader. After the great war was over, Havel became a Bishop to start a new life in the new era. However, his relationship with the Lords started to change when a dragon known as ‘Seath the Scaleless’ was granted dukedom. To make things worse, Seath got married to Lord Gwyn’s daughter and became more close to the Gods.

But Seath was known for magic and Havel always despised magic. With time as Seath’s power grew, Havel came up with the Great Magic Barrier miracle, a powerful defensive miracle to counter his enemy’s magic.

After Lord Gwyn passed away Seath’s experiment with magic became more and more bizarre. In the meantime, Havel fell in love with a maiden from his church and kept it a secret from others as he was a Bishop.

Seath began experimenting on human women who were unmarried and were not pregnant. Things turned for the worse when Seath’s men abducted Havel’s lover for the experiment. After knowing about the tragic end of his lover, Havel starts a plot to overthrow the Gods that allow all of this to happen.

He was joined by some of his followers along with some of his previous enemies. Another treasure collector by the name of Domnhall joined Havel’s hands. After everything was set, the team climbed up to the hollow Archtree that led to Nito’s domain. Havel was not joined by Domnhall in the final battle but this was not the time for him to look back.

As Havel and his trusted men marched on to fight the Gods, Havel realized that they had been betrayed. Domnhall betrayed Havel and they found himself to be in the middle of an ambush. Havel’s enemies were too great in number and many of his men passed away and some fell in Nito’s domain. Nothing much was known about Havel after this battle and this is how his tragic story ended in the lore.
