Helldivers 2, the co-op shooter title from Arrowhead Game Studios, has been a smash hit with a successful launch that saw the game break records on PC and PlayStation 5. The server issues are straightened out and the max player cap has also been raised.
The studio is now focusing on its plan to improve the game and player experience. Several leaks have appeared showing what the developer has in store, including the highly anticipated mechs, and players have come across unreleased stratagems but there’s more that will change the game.
New Helldivers 2 Leak Shows a Transport Vehicle in the Game
A new leak has now surfaced on the internet showing recon vehicle gameplay that might be coming soon to Helldivers 2. Helldivers 2 player and content creator Rebs Gaming took to X/Twitter and shared a clip of them running into an unreleased stratagem in the game that allowed them to drive a Warthog-like transport vehicle.
As in the video footage, the recon vehicle can accommodate three players, one in the driver seat, one in the passenger seat, and one player standing in the back. The vehicle has a rotating machine gun turret on top that the player standing in the back can control and shoot.
The player in the driving seat will drive the vehicle around, and the player in the passenger seat can also lean out of the window to shoot bugs and aliens. The footage only showed the vehicle partially implemented in the game and had no texture or sound of the machine gun.
It cannot be said for certain if this is reliable or not and when the vehicles will be available in Helldivers 2, as some fans think data miners or playtesters could also be responsible for this.
Mechs and New Weaponry Is Also Rumored to Come in the Next Update
However, the majority of the fans think that this is similar to how mechs were being tested in the game. This could be developers dropping the vehicles to test them on live servers. Moreover, the recently leaked unused stratagems list also mentioned several kinds of weapons and abilities, including standard and premium versions, so there may be more than one kind of vehicle.
A few days back, video footage showing playable mechs in action in Helldivers 2 was also leaked. The footage showed players getting in and out of the mechs and taking out enemies. The developer has already confirmed that mechs are the top priority for Helldivers 2 and will be coming soon, but along with the mechs, players also came across new weaponry that could come soon.
The leak claimed that several new weapons, such as an energy rocket launcher that hits like a nuke and the ability to call in NPC Helldivers for backup, would also be arriving in Helldivers 2 with the next update. It is not yet confirmed by Arrowhead when the update is coming, but seeing how the new stratagems are teased, the wait might not be much longer.
