While fans’ didn’t see Headey and Flynn much sharing a screen, many reported the reason due to bad blood. But, the latter eventually addressed it.

The 49-year-old actress, Lena Headey has been a prominent actress in the British and American entertainment industry before gaining global prominence with Game of Thrones. As the show began to enter the global market, people from all across the globe started showing interest in every minute detail related to the show or actors.

That was how the former’s relationship with her co-star, Jerome Flynn came to the public. Having met in 1993 on the set of the singer’s Soldier Soldier series, they dated each other sometime back in 2002.

While there was no official confirmation as to why the duo broke up, media outlets made them the highlight. Reports started circulating about the duo having an extremely bad ending in their 2000s relationship which affected their screen presence on the hit series.

A report shared that the actress in her contract added a clause that stated that she would not be put in the same scene as her former flame. Their deep-rooted feud was even witnessed by crew members as Daily Telegraph reported,

“Jerome and Lena aren’t on speaking terms any more and they are never in the same room at the same time.”

While their bad blood flames continued to construct their past, Flynn eventually opened up about it.

Given that their alleged problematic past continued to keep associating their names in the wrong way, Flynn eventually cleared out the mist by stating completely opposite to the reports.

During an appearance at Nashville’s Con of Thrones convention in 2019, Flynn was asked about those rumors. In response, he shared that they in fact appear alongside one another in the show,

“We were actually in the same scene together, and the last time I saw Lena we were speaking, so I wouldn’t believe everything you read, and like I said, [the media] can get pretty desperate for stories.”

He further complimented his co-star for her acting skills.

“Lena is a wonderful person and a wonderful actress. I think the world of her.”

For the unversed, the scene that the actor was referring to did happen. In Season 3 Episode 1 of the Game of Thrones series, Headey’s character, Cersei walks past the singer’s role, Bronn. It technically counts as the duo sharing a screen together!
