The moon has been stolen and broken apart! And it is up to you to find the locations of all 5 moon pieces to return it to its righteous place in the night sky. At least, this is what the Moon Gatherer in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown believes.
Help him retrieve our planet’s satellite by following his trail across the map. He tends to get stuck in some oddly precarious situations and needs your help getting unstuck. With this handy step-by-step guide, you won’t have to leave him hanging and will find the locations of all 5 moon pieces with ease.
Note that you’re following the Moon Gatherer, meaning the moon pieces have to be collected in this order. Help him out to complete The Moon Gatherer side quest and earn valuable rewards.
The Locations of All 5 Moon Pieces at a Glance
1. Sacred Archives
You’ll first encounter the Moon Gatherer in the Sacred Archives. Follow the corridor south of the Sacred Archives fast-travel spot all the way to the west. You’ll see a blue glowing moon on the wall, signaling that the Moon Gatherer is close.
Break the wooden barrier with your swords to enter the room at the end and find him. He will tell you the story of the stolen moon to kick off this side quest. This is also the location of the first moon piece.
2. The Depths
You’ll find him again in The Depths next to the small elevator southwest of the Scrapper’s Hideout fast-travel spot. You’ll need the Shadow of the Simurgh ability to access his location.
Stand on the elevator and go down. Press L1 to create your shadow self, then interact with the elevator to go up. Press L1 again to return to your shadow self to get underneath the elevator. Fariba is camping out here, so make sure to buy her map. Right above her, you’ll see the blue moon symbol again.
Head to the right and jump up the wall beside the spike wheels. You’ll find a room filled with sewage water. Use the poles to jump to the lever on the left wall and pull it down to drain some of the water. Then swing across to the right wall and pull the lever down to drain the rest.
Jump down and clear the debris. The Moon Gatherer has gotten himself stuck in a blocked pipe. Open the pipe and release him to retrieve the second moon piece.
3. Sunken Harbor
His trail will then lead you to the Sunken Harbor, where he has gotten himself into another precarious situation. Head south from the Wak-Wak tree. You’ll see the blue moon on one of the wooden platforms. Jump down to the ground, and you’ll hear the Moon Gatherer crying for help.
Walk left to find him hiding from a giant crab on top of a mast. Defeat the giant crab to save the Moon Gatherer and retrieve the third moon piece.
4. Pit of Eternal Sands
You’ll find one of the locations of all 5 moon pieces in the Pit of Eternal Sands in a hidden room above the Wak-Wak tree and the Sealed Lair fast-travel spot. To the left of the wooden platform leading down to the Wak-Wak tree, you’ll find a breakable wall.
Use your charged attack (hold Square) and hack and slash at the wall to break it and find a hidden room behind it. You’ll hear the Moon Gatherer and see his legs sticking out of a vase. Break the vase to release him and get the fourth moon piece.
5. Tower of Silence
The last moon piece is in the Tower of Silence. Head to the area where the large ice boulders are falling from above. On one of the platforms below, you will encounter an enemy with a wooden box on his back. Defeat the enemy to release the Moon Gatherer from the box and retrieve the last moon piece.
Once you’ve been to each of the locations of all 5 moon pieces, you’ll have helped return the real moon to the night sky and completed The Moon Gatherer quest. As a token of his gratitude, he’ll reward you with an extra healing potion, an amulet, and crystals.
