And now, news of the dynamic duo gearing up for a thrilling crossover that unites The Dark Knight and Catwoman in the upcoming Gotham War event.
Recently, DC Comics unveiled its plans for the highly anticipated Batman storyline scheduled for release in November 2023. And the details hint at an epic Joker vs Batman battle.

Batman #139 kicked off a fresh storyline arc, Mindbomb. And now, later this year, Batman #140 will continue the chaos. This arc, as the makers have promised will feature a monumental clash between Batman and his arch-nemesis The Joker. In fact, as per the latest reports, the publisher is claiming it to be “the most brutal fight” in the history of their tumultuous relationship.
After the Gotham War, Batman finds himself in complete isolation from his family while he grapples with his alter ego, The Batman of Zur-En-Arrh. And amidst it all, The Joker resurfaces to confront the caped crusader. The preview tantalizingly hints at a riveting spectacle: “It’s Batman versus The Joker in their most brutal fight of all time.”
But the presence of Batman’s alter ego Batman of Zur-En-Arrh adds an intriguing layer of complexity to this impending showdown.

Does Batman of Zur-En-Arrh have his own Batcave?
Batman #136 delved into the lore storyline of the robotic killing machine Failsafe. And Chip Zdarsky, Jorge Corona, Ivan Plascencia, and VC’s Clayton Cowles’ The Plans Below uncovered how the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh was behind Failsafe’s creation, tucked away beneath Batman’s notice.
Reportedly, Batman’s alter-ego is rooted in Grant Morrison’s 2008 Batman R.I.P. Deriving the inspiration from 1958’s Batman #113 Batman – The Superman of Planet X, the alter-ego hails from a planet named Zur-En-Arrh, possessing access to its own Batcave, which is distinct from Batman’s iconic sanctuary.
Apart from this, he has an extraordinary Bat-Plane which is capable of traversing through galaxies along with a crimson Batmobile and several science fiction-inspired ray guns.
