“The movie killed it, just like I knew it would”: James Gunn Toots His Own Horn, Calls Ezra Miller’s The Flash “Magnificent”

The Flash starring Ezra Miller is soon going to be thundering in theatres and looks like DC Studios co-CEO, James Gunn is super excited about the upcoming project. With all eyes stuck on the former due to the controversies surrounding them, the DC boss’s appreciation for their upcoming film is garnering quite the attention.

Gunn is internationally recognized for directing MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. He has been credited in DC for his direction in The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. Last year, he got appointed as the franchise’s new co-CEO alongside Peter Safran. He has recently shared his views on the upcoming DCEU film!

Ahead of its release, the world premiere of The Flash took place on Monday at Ovation Hollywood with the personalities associated with the project coming all together to celebrate. On Twitter, James Gunn shared a picture of himself with his wife and actress, Jennifer Holland on the red carpet from the premiere, writing his views on the upcoming film.

Sharing his experience of the event as well as of the film, he wrote,

Internet is having mixed reactions but the fact that Ezra Miller has returned is what making the waves for now. Barren Allen/Flash star walked the red carpet for the premiere amid the ongoing controversies including arrests for burglary, disorderly conduct, and assault. This has marked their first public presence since the ordeal.

The Flash stars an ensemble cast including Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ben Affleck, Ron Livingston, and Michael Keaton among several others. It hits cinemas on June 16, 2023.
