WrestleMania XL proved to be a fantastic two-night event that showcased the best of WWE and the culmination of various storylines leading up to the event. While there were exciting matches on both nights, everyone was most looking forward to the epic showdown between the Bloodline cousins and Cody Rhodes with Seth Rollins.
While Night 1 turned out to be unfortunate for Rhodes, his historic victory on Night 2 with the help of surprise cameos of various WWE superstars made the event a big celebratory spectacle. After the great high of the event, a rumor has now circulated that The Rock, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins are taking some off the ring.
New Rumor Suggests A Surprising Direction for The Bloodline Cousins and Seth Rollins
The exciting feud involving The Rock and Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins came to a highly satisfying end on Night 2 of WrestleMania XL. The quartet did a great job building up their match, with Dwayne Johnson turning heel and escalating The Bloodline’s rivalry with Rhodes and Rollins. They did some of their best work in the past few weeks leading up to WrestleMania 40.
It seems they now want to have some personal time of their own and take time off from the ring after all those intense appearances on WWE, at least for the three of them. Rumor has it that The Rock, Reigns, and Rollins are all taking time off from the business following WrestleMania XL (via X).
Fans were understandably concerned about the rumor as they believed that WWE would take a big slump if they left now after a big high of the past couple of weeks. Despite the rumors, The Rock has teased that his business with Rhodes has just begun (via YouTube). It is an exciting time for Rhodes and his future, yet if the rumors are true, people are going to miss the presence of peak Bloodline in WWE for some time. Triple H Declares WrestleMania XL The Greatest WrestleMania Ever
WrestleMania XL was a feast for fans, and the main event surpassed everyone’s expectations with Cody Rhodes becoming the new WWE champion. WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque, aka Triple H, seems to be overwhelmed by the thundering response from fans and the epic success of the event, as he addressed audiences on Monday Night Raw.
Triple H thanked fans for their humongous enthusiasm and support for WWE and their part in ensuring WrestleMania XL turned out to be a grand spectacle. He went even further claiming that this year’s WrestleMania was the greatest one that the company and the fans have witnessed. He said (via X),
“I came out here to thank you because less than 24 hours ago, you all made something special happen. I can now really tell you, that was the greatest WrestleMania of all time. By every single metric, there is, by every standard there is, and by everything that you have said, it was the biggest WrestleMania ever”
Triple H couldn’t be more honest about the event as it provided an entertaining spectacle, mixed with great storytelling and emotional payoff. Rhodes finishing the story, Seth Rollins’ Shield throwback, and the various surprise cameos all made the event spectacular.
