Back in 2017, Jennifer Lawrence was seen playing ‘Mother’ in Darren Aronofsky’s psychological horror, of the same name. With a 69% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the film received generally positive reviews from critics who were a fan of the unsettling film.

However, what was more unsettling for Lawrence than the film was probably what happened during its premiere. During her appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the actress, and the host can be seen with a glass of red wine in their hands as they discuss the premiere of Mother! Lawrence revealed that her entire family joined her for the film’s premiere, which turned out to be a questionable choice.

She recalled how she was not wearing a bra for most of the film, which caused the outline of her n**ples to be visible on camera. Lawrence continued that her father would audibly gasp every time a shot included the outline of her n**ples.

“ It was an odd choice to have my entire family for this particular movie. It was a weird choice…I warned them and anytime -I wasn’t really wearing a bra a lot ‘cause, you know, I’m like Mother Earth, and my dad was sitting next to me, and every time there would be a shot my father would go [gasp!].”

When asked by Seth Meyers what the scariest part of the horror film for Lawrence’s family, the actress quipped, “The outline of my n**ple.” We cannot begin to imagine how awkward it must have been for her!

Despite this, the Passengers actress revealed to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she never really understood the film entirely. Cohen asked, “On a scale of one to totally confused, how much did you understand your film, ‘Mother!’?” Lawrence, who was dating the director at the time stated,
