The wrestling world is in major turmoil right now. Everything unexpected is happening, and even though multiple wrestlers have teased multiple things, fans don’t know what is actually going to happen at WrestleMania 40 since nothing has been officially announced yet. As per what Triple H recently hinted through social media, things might end up a lot differently than what fans expect.

This means that although Cody Rhodes did say that he would be coming to take on the undisputed WWE Universal Championship from Roman Reigns but not at WrestleMania since The Rock would be taking his place, things just might take a different turn and result in something that appeases to all fans and enrages none.

Triple H Hints at a Massive Change of Plans for WrestleMania 40 Than What Fans Expect

Recently, the official handle of NFL on X (@NFL) posted an excerpt of the video of George Kittle, American football tight end renowned as ‘The People’s Tight End’, talking about WrestleMania and how everything could end up being amid the current ongoing mess.

In the clip, Kittle started by mentioning how much he “loves” how it’s all “starting off hot” and how “fun” it is to see everyone taking sides and talking about ‘We Want Cody’, or ‘It’s Roman and The Rock’ at WrestleMania 40 when he himself is a fan of all three.

But then came the main part when The People’s Tight End mentioned how he, personally, would like the series of events to unfold. Citing something that he saw and liked on the internet, Kittle said:

“Honestly, my dream would be [for it to be] like, kind of a set-up. I saw this online, Roman shows up, signs a contract, Cody’s on the other side, The Rock referees. Wouldn’t that be fun and special? Let’s just make it fun and interesting. Now, it’s not my own idea, but I thought it was really cool.”

While that would truly make everything all the more interesting, that’s only something that someone posted online and that George Kittle dreams of happening. That was until Triple H took the matter into his own hands and hinted at a massive plan for WrestleMania 40.

Recently, following @NFL posting the video to their X handle, Triple H took to his own X handle (@TripleH) to repost the same video of Kittle launching into a wrestling rant about what he wants to happen at the event, with the caption:

“The People’s Tight End knows what’s up…”

Since Cody Rhodes announced that he would be coming for Roman Reigns but “not at WrestleMania” and then The Rock’s music played with him appearing at the SmackDown event and facing off against Reigns, everyone expected that instead of Rhodes, Reigns would be facing The Rock.

However, this recent repost and comment by Triple H has ignited further massive speculation into the matter about how the events at WrestleMania 40 would truly end up unfolding. And that’s not even the end of the story, for there is still one thing making Cody Rhodes finish the story all the more likely.

Cody Rhodes’ Match Against Roman Reigns Seems All the More Likely

While Triple H’s recent actions on social media have more than just let fans know that WrestleMania 40 would be a lot different than what they expect him to be, that’s not the end of it all. Recently, fan handle @CrispyWrestling took to X as well to share a clip of host Cody Rhodes at WWE with Michael Cole commentating in the background:

“#WeWantCody has trended worldwide for three days now. And it all has to do with a match that hasn’t even been announced yet! Will Roman Reigns face The Rock at WrestleMania? Will Cody Rhodes face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania? We hope to get those answers this coming Thursday at the press event in Las Vegas.”

Through this post, the handle owner pointed out how this was the second time that Cole talked about the trend surrounding Cody Rhodes and mentioned the fact that The Rock’s match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 hadn’t been made official yet.

Thus, judging from all these events, if anything, everything could unfold a lot differently at WrestleMania 40 than what fans are expecting, and the result just might end up pleasing everyone with perhaps Roman Reigns fighting Cody Rhodes and The Rock acting as a referee, as Triple H hinted.

For now, fans will just have to wait for the press event in Las Vegas this coming Thursday, 8th of February, 2024, to finally know how everything turns out to be for WrestleMania 40.
