Recently, Hanbury eventually came forward in response to rumors that she had an affair with Prince William. Through her lawyers, the former political staffer, 40, informed Business Insider that the affair rumors “are completely false”.
During Middleton’s months-long retreat from public life, a lot of rumors surfaced about her marriage to 41-year-old Prince William. Stephen Colbert actually joined the conversation on his talk show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the recent episode, saying:
“The kingdom has been all a flutter by the seeming disappearance of Kate Middleton. Well now, internet sleuths are guessing that Kate’s absence may be related to her husband and the future King of England William having an affair.”
But Middleton’s representative informed Page Six that, due to her ongoing recuperation from a “planned abdominal surgery”, she would not be going back to work until Easter.

Viewers described her as “happy, relaxed, and healthy” when she visited the Windsor Farm Shop, which is about a mile from her Adelaide Cottage home. No comments were made about the outing by Kensington Palace or the Windsor Farm Shop. The tabloid claimed that Prince William accompanied his wife on the trip.
The Sun article did not include any images or videos from the outing, which added credence to the circulating rumors about the Princess of Wales. But by Monday afternoon, pictures and a video of the alleged Saturday outing had surfaced in The Sun, TMZ, and other tabloids, supporting the original reporting. In addition to posting the video’s metadata and a few statements from an eyewitness who allegedly took the footage, TMZ claimed that the images were “100% her”.
Despite the depressing rumors that have been circulating about her, the royal couple, and the monarchy as a whole, Middleton was seen in the video strolling quickly and with a strong gait. She also appeared to be smiling and at ease.
