The finale saga of One Piece has put a special focus on the Straw Hat Pirates as they move forward toward their goals and ambitions. However, it seems like the only active members of the Straw Hat crew are Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. During the Egghead Island arc, Eiichiro Oda has not given any special attention to the other members of the crew.
While it may seem interesting to see the heavy hitters of the Straw Hat crew taking center stage, it might not work forever. Oda needs to work on the character narratives of other crew members as well. If he makes the mistake of keeping only the monster trio within the center light, he will heavily regret it in the future.
The biggest example of this is Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto. By the time the series reached the end, Kishimoto only gave attention to Team 7 and mostly ignored the rest of the Shinobis, which became a big issue for the fans.
Eiichiro Oda Needs to Divert His Attention on Other Straw Hat Pirates
The beginning of the finale saga was marked by the Egghead Island arc, which has been filled with battles and fights featuring some of the strongest characters in the entire series. While these fights have kept the One Piece fans entertained, in terms of the Straw Hat Crew, the only members who have majorly engaged in these fights are Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro.
The other members of the crew are only seen running or hiding. Usually, every member of the crew takes on a specific antagonistic character, and the narrative focuses on their battles individually. However, the Egghead Island arc might be the only arc where almost all the hitting has been done by the Monster Trio.
Every member of the Straw Hat Crew in One Piece has their own narrative, and by focusing on each of these narratives, Eiichiro Oda has managed to keep the story interesting. They are the only crew in the entire series where every character has their own arc, and Oda needs to focus on every single one of them in the coming storylines if he wants fans to stay engaged with One Piece.
The Biggest Mistake Masashi Kishimoto Made With Naruto
Naruto dealt with a similar problem during the final arcs of the series. The series had some of the best-written characters in the history of anime and manga, but most of them were ignored to keep all the attention on Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi. Characters like Neji, Rock Lee, Kiba, Choji, etc. were not given any special focus.
Although they had a few chapters focusing on their battles, they were solely meant for closure so that Team 7 could take center stage. This was heavily criticized by the Naruto fans, and even Masashi Kishimoto regrets this to this day.

If he could have allowed other characters to grow during the final arcs, Naruto would have grabbed more eyes.
Thus, Oda needs to learn from Kishimoto and avoid the mistakes he made. One Piece is currently at its most crucial storyline, and fans expect it to be perfect as they have been waiting for it for a long time.
You can watch Naruto on Hulu and One Piece on Crunchyroll.
