But the series’ gritty and gore cinematic quality, the production design, the pretty frightening makeup, and the added effects make the freaky zombies look even freakier. This makes fans eager to beaver over the show.

The series first premiered in 2010 on AMC in the US and globally through the Fox Networks Group and Disney+. It concluded its remarkable 11-season run with 177 episodes in November 2022, which left fans in two minds whether the Season 12 would come or not. Although initially it hinted at a 12-season plan, it did not happen.

But AMC did confirm the Rick and Michonne spin-off named The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live with “the most powerful military on the planet” fighting the zombie apocalypse this time.

More than that, one interesting thing was also shown, which is “the most powerful military on the planet.” It’s CRM (Civic Republic Military)—the most powerful surviving organization (consisting of former military and political figures) in the Walking Dead universe. They’ve got helicopters, high-tech gadgets, and a strict rulebook.

It consists of six episodes and will hit the streaming service AMC+. As of now, this spinoff is created as a miniseries with no second season planned. But this could always change.

Earlier, it was titled The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne until April 2023. It then retitled The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live in July 2023. So far, The Walking Dead has spawned six spin-off series. Its popularity is enormous, and it has become AMC’s flagship series.
