This is undeniable to say that Henry Cavill is propelled to a new level of fame by The Witcher. Even more so than with Superman (in Man of Steel), that project had a significant impact on the British actor’s professional life. He did an excellent job portraying Geralt of Rivia. Fans of the source material and general audiences were both impressed by his transformation into Geralt.

Naturally, given his level of knowledge, even his co-star, Anya Chalotra was speechless. The actress recently said that it was inspirational to work with someone who was so enthusiastic about the subject.

Henry Cavill is arguably the most knowledgeable actor currently working in the industry. The Enola Holmes actor is well-known among his followers for being a huge nerd. Also, it is said that the 40-year-old was a huge fan of the series even before securing the role of Geralt in The Witcher.

Anya Chalotra Is In Absolute Awe Of Henry Cavill

The Witcher’s third season just recently on Netflix. Fans are waiting to see Henry Cavill‘s final performance as Geralt of Rivia because part 2 of season 3 is just a few days away.

As the actor prepares to make his final appearance on television as Geralt, Yennefer, a.k.a. Anya Chalotra, shared her feelings about working with the Justice League star. The 26-year-old British actress praised Cavill’s enthusiasm and familiarity with the original works as she stated in an interview with Variety:

“Because [Henry Cavill] knows more than anyone about the world of The Witcher, and all the rules and regulations and the terms and Witcher knowledge — he’s up there.”

She continued by saying that working with Cavill was like a breath of fresh air. Even so, the actress expressed her appreciation, describing it as a “blessing“. The Argylle star, in addition to being a wonderful co-star, also helped other cast members throughout the production. 

“So to work with that, it’s a blessing because there are days when you might disbelieve the world a little bit more than the next. And he’s there to go, ‘Hang on, we’ve got this.'”

He also had great on-screen chemistry with Chalotra. The pair’s romantic scene from season 3 recently went viral online.

Anya Chalotra on Henry Cavill’s Exit From The Witcher

As Geralt of Rivia, Henry Cavill undoubtedly did a fantastic job. The actor was flawless in the role and gave one of his most enduring performances. As a result of his departure, the cast and fans are both extremely disappointed.

In another section of the interview, Anya Chalotra even described how it would feel after Cavill’s exit from the show. She expressed her emotions and acknowledged that the fourth season would be “bizarre” without him.

“It’s going to be bizarre, and I feel like I’m definitely going to feel that loss. I think we all will.” 

However, the actress also expressed excitement about Liam Hemsworth joining the show, saying she “can not wait” to collaborate with the Australian actor.

Despite Cavill’s departure, Chalotra made it clear that she still has high expectations for the upcoming seasons of The Witcher.

“We [Chalotra and Hemsworth] haven’t had a chemistry test. I wasn’t part of that process [of his casting]. But I’m very excited to see what his [Liam Hemsworth] Geralt is. And only then will we realise what dynamics we have as a group.”

The Witcher Seasons 1, 2, and 3 are available on Netflix. Meanwhile, Volume 2 of Season 3 is scheduled for release on July 27, 2023.
