In a candid interview, Henry Cavill once revealed that while filming season 2 of his beloved show, The Witcher, he suffered an on-set injury that nearly cost him his professional career. The actor claimed it took a long time for him to recover, but he was relieved as it was not a complete detachment of the hamstring.

“It was a very, very bad tear, and I was very lucky that it wasn’t a complete detachment of the hamstring,” he said.

The Immortals actor continued, “The difficulty was working while I was injured. Because I wanted to do more for the production — I know how important it was for them to get stuff done. So it was having to find that balance between, ‘Yes, let’s push, push, push,’ and, ‘Whoa, hold on, if I tear this further, it’s the end of my action career.’ That was my worst moment of the past year — professionally.”

Henry Cavill has played many iconic characters on the silver screen in his burgeoning career and has been part of several blockbuster entertainment projects. He is a versatile leading star performer in the industry whose career has been non-stop since he stepped into showbiz.

The Witcher’s third season Vol. 1, will soon be available to watch, and the project will mark Cavill’s last appearance as Geralt of Rivia, as he will be departing from the show, and Chris Hemsworth will be taking over his iconic role.

Season 1 and Season 2 of The Witcher are available for streaming on Netflix, while Season 3 will be available on July 27, 2023.
