Players are finally entering Chapter 5 of Fortnite’s second season after what has seemed like an exceptionally long first season. The upcoming season has been surrounded by several leaks and speculations regarding what to expect at launch. While some hinted at a Greek mythology-themed season, others hinted at a possible new collaboration.

Fortnite collaborates with Avatar: The Last Airbender

As is now the trend with Fortnite, Epic Games has unveiled a few of the characters that players will get to see in the battle pass. The rumors surrounding the Greek mythology theme have also been confirmed along with one of the most exciting collaborations ever.

This season will collaborate with Avatar: The Last Airbender, proving the rumors by dataminers to be true. Players will get to see Korra being added to the battle pass, however, many thought Aang, Katara, and Sokka to come. The developers’ decision to bring Korra from ‘The Legend of Korra’ series seems justified, especially in light of Fortnite’s height limitations.

Players will first need to obtain the Season 2 Chapter 5 battle pass in order to unlock the Korra costume from the spin-off series in Fortnite. This can be done by a three-month- long subscription that costs 950 V-Bucks i.e. the in-game currency or roughly $9.99. Players subscribed to the $11.99 monthly Fortnite Club subscription can also access the skin.

Naturally, even though Korra is great news for fans, this is not the only good thing as there are other characters that will also be available in Chapter 5, Season 2’s battle pass. There will be a number of Greek gods coming, including, but not limited to, Zeus, Aphrodite, Poseidon, Artemus, and Cerberus.

Fortnite fans are not happy with the absence of Aang

The addition of Korra to Fortnite is a positive development, but when fans found out about the collaboration, they were hoping to see Aang, Katara, and Sokka. Many fans were rooting for Aang to be the outcome of this exciting collaboration.

This is due to the fact that Aang, the primary character of Avatar, is also the Avatar. Since he was born into one of the four nations and has the unique ability to bend the elements of fire, water, earth, and air fans wanted to get a taste of that in Fortnite.

Therefore, Korra’s addition to the battle pass of Season 2 hasn’t gone well with the Fortnite fans, and many of them have taken to X to talk about this.

Korra is the secret outfit of this new season, which means she’ll not be available from the beginning, instead being locked behind a set of Quests. This won’t happen until April 2, 2024, at 2 am PDT since players need to wait for all the quests to become available.
