Did Captain America Die When Thanos Punched Him?

We see Thanos punching Captain America and leaving him to be to get the Infinity Stone from Vision’s head. Although Wanda heartbreakingly kills Vision by destroying the stone, Thanos uses the power of Time Stone to bring back Vision. A wild theory states that Captain America did actually die from Thanos’ punch to the face but when Thanos used his Time Stone, Steve Rogers was brought back to life.

Although it is a wild theory, there is no evidence that Steve Rogers didn’t die! Taking to the comment section of an Instagram reel, fans had a heated debate as to whether Rogers really died or not!

“It’s crazie my brother said the same thing when the movie first came out”

“Capitan America cheated death twice 👏👏”

“A super soldier ain’t dying in one punch”

Fans are indeed entitled to their opinion as some consider the theory to be valid while others say that the Time Stone only affects a particular subject (which is more true). Although the theory might be false, fans of the MCU are indeed creative with their stories.

In an interview with GQ, Marvel President Kevin Feige talked about how Chris Evans as Captain America is not given enough credit. Talking about how people give credit to Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man for kickstarting the MCU, Feige admitted that the MCU would have been very different without Chris Evans!

“I often think about the parallel world where he said no. Robert Downey Jr. gets a lot of attention, deservedly so, for being the foundation of this studio we have here. But in many, many ways, Chris Evans was one of those additional pillars that the house would not be standing today, if not for him.”

Well, after several movies, Chris Evans’ Captain America finally retired and passed on the shield to his best friend Sam Wilson aka The Falcon. It is up to the Falcon and the Winter Soldier to continue Steve Rogers’ legacy as the MCU expands forward.
