Madara Uchiha played a prominent role in Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto series as one of the prime antagonists, who gave a tough time to the Allied Shinobi Forces during the Fourth Ninja War. The Ghost of Uchiha was a legendary shinobi whose name struck fear in the hearts of people. As a result, his name alone forced the five Shinobi Nations to join hands, something that had never happened before.

While it is strongly believed that the legendary Uchiha’s strongest ability was the Susanoo, a fan has come up with a theory stating how that is not the case. In r/Naruto, a subreddit dedicated to talking about everything related to Masashi Kishimoto’s Shonen Series stated how the entire Naruto fandom was mistaken for The Legendary Uchiha’s special ability.
The fan states that there is one thing about the character, that stands out to him, and that is “the notable lack of use of his Mangekyou abilities.” They stated that during the Hashirama Senju vs Madara Uchiha OVA from Naruto Storm Generations, fans got a glimpse at a non-canon use of a Mangekyo trait, which is “the power to rewind time.”
They explained,
“So here’s the thing. In the Hashirama Senju vs. Madara Uchiha OVA from Naruto Storm Generations, we do get a glimpse at a non-canon use of a Mangekyou ability for Madara, that being the power to rewind time. He gets knocked off of his footing when blocking a shuriken, and then immediately rewinds time to correct this mistake.”
To reinforce their theory, they stated in each of his fights, the Uchiha would often take on multiple shinobis at once, and none could get a hit on him. To make it more precise, they stated that even the most skilled of ninjas could make the slightest of mistakes during the battle. However, he hardly seems to be fazed by anything on the battlefield.
They believe that the real power of the EMS might be time-traveling, and he knows how everything in the battle would turn out to be. They said that in his battles, he looked superhuman, and he crushed the spirit of the Five Kages, as he showed their difference in skills.
To err is human, but The Ghost of the Uchiha never makes one, and to have EMS, where he rarely uses Susanoo makes things all the more suspicious.

In Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto, only a couple of moments are there that are remembered by fans for the remainder of their lives. One such memorable moment was when Madara Uchiha introduced himself to the Allied Shinobi Forces during the Fourth Great Ninja War. The entry of The Ghost of the Uchiha was a bolt from the blue to every shinobi present on the battlefield.
To let the world know about his return, he head-on took a fight with the Shinobi Force and annihilated them with ease. To flaunt his supremacy, he also took on the 5 Kages, where he ruthlessly battered them, and who can forget the iconic line “Now, I’ve got a question for you. Would you like these clones to use Susanoo or not?”
If battle skills are not enough, then the antagonist exudes an unparalleled sense of confidence, as he speaks. The deep-rooted confidence in his abilities and his vision of the world was affirmed when he gave the “Wake up to reality…” speech, showcasing the harsh reality of the world.
Though Kishimoto-san has moved past Naruto Shippuden and has been tirelessly working on Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, none has come close to matching the antagonist’s charisma and popularity.
