The long-running monster-hunting drama Supernatural signed off in November 2020. But right now, there seems to be a chance of revival, as Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles discussed the possibility of the series returning with season 16. Teasing fans during a conference, as reported by Collider, the actors sparked hope.
Supernatural previously proved to have unique capabilities of bouncing back after staring down an imminent end. Therefore, currently, after Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles teased a return for the show, it doesn’t seem like a far-fetched dream.

Speculations of Supernatural’s Potential Comeback
Released in 2005, the long-running dark fantasy-horror series Supernatural drew massive attention with its stellar cast and brilliant storyline. But unfortunately, the show suffered major obstacles throughout its running period, until finally signed off in November 2020.
However, recently, Supernatural’s cast Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki teased the possibility of the show’s revival. During the 2023 Creation Honolulu convention held between November 17th and 19th, the two actors spoke about the beloved WB-turned-CW series, as reported by Collider.
“I have some ideas, and I hope that now that the writers are back, and the actors are back, that we all get together.” Padalecki shared
“Stay tuned on that. There are some conversations regarding that conversation that are being had.”Ackles replied.
Sparking hope among fans, the two actors revealed how the Studio heads and producers are discussing bringing the characters back.

Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki Are Excited for Revival
Since Supernatural’s ending, there have been rumblings that the stars might be reuniting for a new season or miniseries. That’s when the producers came up with the spin-off The Winchesters in 2022, starring Jensen Ackles. However, the spin-off failed to make an impact like it’s predecessor and eventually got canceled. Although fans love the Supernatural universe, they believe the spin-off was poorly done, which led to it’s cancellation.
Thus, now that Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles who starred as brothers Sam and Dean Winchester in the original, teased the topic of Supernatural season 16, fans wonder if it is such a great idea. Although fans can’t hold back their excitement about the potential come back, there is a bit of doubt in their hearts about casting, storyline, and the show’s potential to catch up where it left off.
Putting the confusion aside, fans expressed their excitement during the discussing. Replying to fans’ Q&A, even the duo appeared similarly excited about the possibility. Even though Supernatural ended almost 3 years back, the actors do not appear to be done with their characters. And Ackles more than anyone appeared to be super excited about Supernatural’s potential comeback, despite his spinoff failing to perform well.
