Partnering with Mattson Tomlin, according to THR, HBO is actively working on its long-in-discussion idea of Aegon’s Conquest. The potential show is basically going to be a direct prequel to the hit House of the Dragon, narrating the story of the Targaryen’s bloody and brutal conquest of Westeros.
After Game of Thrones concluded in 2019 and George R.R. Martin’s promising idea and effort spawned two greenlit shows, House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight (starting production this year), HBO is now planning on the prequel series. Meanwhile, fans have already started tying Henry Cavill with Aegon’s Conquest.
