Nicolas Cage says he doesn’t know if he wants to be a part of another Disney movie

Nicolas Cage who was once the 90’s heartthrob witnessed shattering moments in his career when he had no movie projects in hand. Everyone who has seen Cage’s performance on the big screen is aware of the fact that he is an incredible actor. In 2021, the 59-year-old actor played the role of Robin in the movie Pig. 

During an interview about his character Robin and own career in Hollywood, the Ghost Rider actor had many things to share. He also explained that there are many similarities between him and his movie Pig’s character Robin. The 59-year-old actor said,

“I do feel that I’ve gone into my own wilderness and that I’ve left the small town that is Hollywood. I don’t know exactly why Rob left his stardom. It’s never fully explained, and I like that about the movie. But as for me, I don’t know if I’d want to go back.”

He further added,

“I don’t know if I’d want to go and make another Disney movie. It would be terrifying. It’s a whole different climate. There’s a lot of fear there.”

With his movie Pig, he explained he wanted the world to see he still has what it takes to be an actor. As per reports, the actor worked on every aspect of his character Robin for the movie

Nicolas Cage wanted to prove himself in front of the audience

After a difficult time in Hollywood, when word spread that Cage will be seen in Director Michael Sarnoski’s film Pig, many people were eager to watch the actor’s performance. It was a film that allowed the National Treasure star to demonstrate his true acting abilities. Cage commented on the film while discussing his role, he stated,

“I wanted to remind myself and also remind some folks perhaps in the audience or in the media that I could also apply myself to a much more quiet and measured performance style.”

He further added,

“I had gone on this tear, mission almost, to kind of break form with film performance and what was considered good performance by being naturalistic or photo-realistic or minimalistic.”

Nic Cage was reportedly responsible for his own downfall as an actor. He eventually had to take a step back for a moment due to his spendthrift attitude and a few failed films and find his footing in the industry once more.
