During his peak wrestling days, John Cena often took a jab at Lita, who was 4 time WWE/WWF women’s championship title holder. Cena once claimed that she has herpes,
“Lita on the other hand, she’s rated NC-17, which means No Cold sores in 17 days. Mind I remind you, folks, there is no cure for genital herpes, you can suppress it, you cannot stop it.”
Genital herpes is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) or STD. The herpes simplex virus (HSV) causes genital herpes.
Lita was Edge’s partner at the time
Lita and Edge’s relationship was quite controversial. The two started dating off-screen when Lita was dating Matt Hardy while Edge was married to Beth Phoenix. Their relationship came on-screen and they even got married on WWE.
This explains why John Cena, who had a feud with Edge, came after Lita in WWE. On multiple occasions, Cena attacked Lita and Edge. Cena was known to be fierce on the mic just like he was in the ring.
