Spider-Man 4 is the upcoming Marvel superhero film in the Spider-Man franchise. It is the fourth movie in the series that is coming after Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Spider-Man 4 may be released on 27 June 2025, but Sony has not confirmed the date officially. Earlier in 2023, a Deadline report indicated that the company reserved this date for an untitled Spider-Man Universe movie.
But now, a Marvel villain, Morbius, is rumored to appear in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4. This confirms a fear that more villains are being introduced into the Spider-Man franchise.
Is Morbius Returning in Marvel’s Spider-Man 4?
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has introduced some great villain options for its next movie. As Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man 4 is in the works, fans have already started anticipating the villains.
The MCU has already brought some great villains in Spider-Man’s previous films. So, as per this, Spider-Man 4 has to maintain the standard.
The Marvel hero has faced villains like Michael Keaton’s Vulture, Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio, and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. But there are no recent updates on the main villain of the Holland’s film.
Recently, an X post assumed Keaton would return as Vulture in the MCU movie. However, the majority of people believe Morbius has more chance to be the villain in the upcoming film.
They are even fearing the most of this villain because his hypnotic powers enable him to control even strong-willed persons like Peter Parker.
His bite can transform someone into a pseudo-vampire like himself. So, it would be interesting to see the face-off between Spider-Man and Morbius if he returned as a villain in the film.

While it may not happen because Sony attempted to give Morbius his own franchise. Anyway, there has been another villain who was largely rumored to appear in the upcoming film.
Kingpin, the Rumored Villain in Marvel’s Spider-Man 4
