In an interview with Vanity Fair, Nicole Kidman didn’t take names, but she revealed that an engagement didn’t work out because both of them were not ready for that kind of commitment.

“It just wasn’t right. I wasn’t ready. We weren’t ready,”
Kidman also shared that she does not do flings, as she wants a deep connection. She added,
“I get engaged and I get married — that’s my thing. I don’t want to date. I’m interested in a very, very deep connection.”
The relationship didn’t work, but they maintained good terms with each other. She worked with his daughter, Zoë Kravitz, years later in The Big Little Lies. Zoë Kravitz was also part of Robert Pattinson’s 2022 film, The Batman, where she played Catwoman.
