Attack on Titan has delivered its final episode with a bang. The emotions and hype surrounding the ending were at their peak. So, there was no margin for error for MAPPA Studios and Hajime Isayama. The manga ended in 2021, but the fans were unsatisfied with how it ended. Everyone criticized the ending, and Hajime Isayama had to pick up his pen once again.
Even though he did not make any changes to the original manga, he significantly chose to make changes to the anime ending. It means that the manga and the anime would have a different ending. Attack on Titan‘s Final Episode Leaves The Fandom Unsatisfied
The final episode of Attack on Titan was 85 minutes long. Naturally, there were many expectations from the ending since it is one of the greatest anime of all time. Few anime have entertained the fans like Attack on Titan did. Great plot, excellent buildup, fantastic character development, and twists have always kept the fans on the edge of their seats.
But even after such expectations and hype, they fell short of delivering the most incredible ending ever. Hajime Isayama made the necessary changes and apologised to MAPPA Studios for making them work harder, but it was all for nought. After experiencing the conclusion, the fandom could not help themselves and took social media by storm.
MAPPA Studios did their part gracefully with great animations. Honestly, it was one of the few things that the fans loved. Even after having a different conclusion than the manga, it was not satisfactory.

With social media just a few clicks away, the fans did not wait long to address their concerns regarding Attack on Titan ending online. While few praised it, most wanted it to have a better ending and mentioned how they could not brand the series to be a masterpiece, even though it had been great since day one.

One person said it could have been a masterpiece if the last arc had been written better. He continued that it was a great show, but the ending will always keep it from being the greatest of all time. Moreover, it was beyond understanding how Mikasa reached paradise without a map or any means of transport.
