The artist, known for her role as Annie January in The Boys, took to Instagram on January 26 to address the issue. She expressed her shock at the online harassment following Kelly’s podcast comments.

Moriarty, amidst one of her most challenging weeks, opened up about the toll it took on her well-being. While expecting criticism for her appearance, she found herself targeted. She said, (Entertainment Weekly)

“I felt that I deserved to take a second to address these things… To receive a message about a disgustingly false counterproductive to the degree of being ironically misogynistic video of Megyn Kelly commenting on the manner, to learn the widespread nature of this has left me horrified.”

In the controversial podcast episode on January 17, Kelly labeled plastic surgery a “social illness” and used Moriarty as an example of someone with a supposed “addiction” to it.

Displaying two images, Kelly initially praised Moriarty as a “nice, beautiful natural girl” but then suggested a more recent picture that resembled an “AI-generated face,” accusing her of changing plastic surgery.

As tensions escalated and accusations flew, Moriarty addressed the complexity of personal image and professional integrity in the face of public scrutiny. Yet, the saga didn’t conclude there. Moriarty took the opportunity to clarify the context of the picture in question, adding another layer to the ongoing narrative.

In her Instagram post, Moriarty dropped some truth bombs. She revealed (Twitter) that the “before” picture Kelly showed was ancient, like, from a decade ago, way before she even hit the legal drinking age. And as for the “after” snap Kelly used as evidence?

It turns out that it was just a day when Moriarty got dolled up with some fancy makeup. She even deleted the picture from Instagram to put an end to the drama.
