Social media, smartphones, and internet capabilities have made it simpler for anyone to intentionally (or unintentionally) share their most private moments with the world. Some A-list stars discovered this the hard way. For instance, Channing Tatum posted a picture of his ex-wife, Jenna Dewan on Instagram in 2017 while she was n*ked.

The incident, which took place on a very popular social media platform, sent shockwaves through the internet and sparked debate on issues of privacy in the digital age.

Tatum’s social media accounts, which have amassed millions of followers and an ardent online following, are typically witty and entertaining and are carefully hosted to provide glimpses into his day-to-day activities. But when he shared a personal photo of his ex-wife, what had appeared to be an innocent and playful post quickly turned into a huge uproar.

Channing Tatum Shared A Beautiful, Slightly N*de Photo Of His Ex-Wife

Channing Tatum and his former wife, Jenna Dewan were not exactly secretive about their personal lives (of course, when they were together). On different occasions, they both gushed about how amazing having s*x with each other was.

For example, Dewan described their s*xual relations as “primal” and “earthy” in a December 2016 interview with Cosmopolitan. Therefore, the former couple’s private moment in 2017 should not have surprised anyone, yet it did.

People were unsure of how to react to Tatum’s Instagram post (January 8), which showed his ex-wife sleeping completely n*ked with sheets draped in the appropriate locations. Along with the halo emoji and several high-five hands, the White House Down actor captioned it:

“Nap time = The Best Time.”

Note that the post has since been removed.

For the unversed, the former couple got married on July 11, 2009, in Malibu, California, where they first met while filming Step Up. However, they made their separation announcement on April 2, 2018. The Hot Chick actress filed for divorce from Tatum six months later.

The divorce was finalized in November 2019.

The Post Immediately Attracted The Followers’ Attention

That infamous post, however, was not merely a soundbite. Channing Tatum appeared to have just barely escaped Instagram’s n*dity ban.

Even though many people liked the picture, some of Tatum’s fans had a rather unsettling question about it. Nevertheless, people were outraged by the n*de photo, calling the 43-year-old actor “disrespectful,” and criticizing him in the comments for revealing that personal moment to the public.

The social media reaction has been mixed because there was disagreement over whether Jenna Dewan had given consent for posting the picture.

One fan questioned:

“Was Jenna Dewan Tatum aware that this photo of her nearly n*ked body was being posted online?”

Since Dewan was dozing off in the picture and it was an exposed shot, many fans began asking Tatum to inquire if his ex-wife had given her consent for the picture to be shared. As one inquired:

“This is a photo of Jenna totally exposed—totally n*ked. Did she approve of this? Does she want this up on social media?”

In a 2023 interview with Vanity Fair, Tatum was questioned about whether he would ever remarry, but he claimed that his divorce had inspired self-improvement, including a strong bond with his daughter.

I don’t think I would’ve ever done the work, I think, on myself in the way that I had to do the work on myself to really try to figure out what next.

He concluded:

Even though I am a bit of a monogamist. In business, I have no real fear of anything being destroyed. But heart things, when it comes to people I love, I have a really hard time. I end up trying too hard, you know?”

According to reports, Tatum dated the English singer, Jessie J from 2018 to 2020 before beginning a relationship with Zo Kravitz in 2021.
