A lot of people, including none other than The Rock’s ex-wife, Dany Garcia, have voiced their opinions and worries about the future of the football league.

In a recent interview, Garcia, who also serves as Johnson’s business partner, recently discussed the XFL’s future. She expressed disappointment in the difficulties the league has encountered while also maintaining optimism about its chances of success in the future.

Just eight months prior, critics panned the 51-year-old actor’s action movie, Black Adam, and his sitcom, Young Rock was canceled after three seasons. And now his struggles seem to have allegedly crept into his participation in the revamped XFL, covering the league’s first year back.

Dwayne Johnson’s On Suffering A Major Setback In XFL

Despite Forbes’ predictions that the XFL will lose about $60 million in the 2023 season, there are other hopeful predictions for the future. According to reports, the XFL expects to make $100 million in revenue during the upcoming season.

Thus, the XFL anticipates $100 million in revenue for the upcoming season, while the league also cuts some jobs, according to the report. Dwayne Johnson admitted to being optimistic about the XFL’s future in an interview with Forbes magazine. He has high expectations that his $15 million endeavor will eventually be prosperous.

“This is not just an endeavor that’s going to fill up a portfolio and one day we flip it and we’re out. This is legacy. This is the long game.”

Dany Garcia Believes XFL Will Become The ‘New WWE’

Like Dwayne Johnson, his ex-wife, Dany Garcia also believes that the XFL will go on to enjoy great success in the future. She stated that they are “well-capitalized” going forward. As a result, receiving the $60 million financial hole is not a big deal for them because they will make up for the loss in the upcoming seasons.

“We’re extremely well-capitalized for the long-term. This is our new WWE. The next massive live property.”

She further claimed that their goal is to equal the success of WWE, the dominant force in sports entertainment, with the XFL. Moreover, she is confident that she and her ex-husband will succeed in their endeavors.

Additionally, Forbes reported that the XFL’s revenue goal for the upcoming season is $100 million.

If history is any indication, you can be sure that anything Johnson touches will turn into gold. For instance, his previous business endeavors have been successful, including Teremana Tequila, Zoa Energy, Seven Bucks Productions, and many others.

Meanwhile, Garcia also exhibits a strong sense of enthusiasm for the XFL and its prospects for success. She brings a special perspective and insightful knowledge to the table as a businesswoman and as the ex-wife of one of the league’s co-owners.

What will happen to the XFL in the upcoming months and years is still uncertain, but with committed people like Garcia on its side, there is a good chance for a successful comeback.
